Best Friends Animal Society of Utah opened their Pet Adoption Center inside Trolley Square mall in May, 2012. Adoptable animals from Salt Lake County Animal services were housed there, 10 cats and 10 dogs at a time. According to the BFAS Utah Facebook page, 515 animals were adoption before the location closed last month for relocation.

The new Pet Adoption Center opens today at 2005 South 1100 East in Sugar House. A Best Friends spokesperson said that the move to the new location provides more room to house more animals at a time.

The adoption center is open Wednesdays through Saturdays from 11am to 7pm and from 11am to 4pm on Sundays.
