South Salt Lake PAL youth cook up Thanksgiving

The South Salt Lake Police Athletics/Activities League (PAL) youth participants prepared their fifth annual Thanksgiving dinner Tuesday for family and friends.

The South Salt Lake PAL program provides educational and recreational activities that build self-esteem and trust between youth and police.

The Thanksgiving event gives youth interested in the culinary arts to get hands-on experience in a commercial kitchen. Viking Cooking School and Kimball Kitchens hosted Tuesday's event while Norbest provided 24 turkeys.
