A motorcyclist was killed after a collision with a sport utility vehicle in Clearfield on Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Clearfield Police Department, the 22-year-old Roy man, whose identity was not released, turned onto 700 South (SR-193) from a southbound Interstate 15 offramp and collided with a black SUV driven by a 33-year-old Pleasant View woman. The SUV was making a left turn onto 700 South from a gas station parking lot located on the corner of 1350 East and 700 South at the time of the collision.

The 22-year-old man was injured fatally and the driver of the SUV was treated on scene and released. Police say speed may have been a factor in the crash. It was unknown Tuesday afternoon whether drugs or alcohol were involved. The crash is still under investigation, police said Tuesday.
