Three teenage boys stranded on a Provo Canyon cliff side late Monday were rescued early Tuesday morning.

The boys, one 16 and two 17, were cold and hungry but uninjured when brought down by members of the Utah County Search and Rescue team about 3 a.m., said Utah County Sheriff's Deputy Ray Edwards.

The teens were hiking between Canyon Glen and Nuns Park, about 10 miles into the canyon when they got stuck on a 3-to-4 foot wide ledge about 300 to 400 feet up.

They called 911 for help about 9 p.m. Rescuers reached the trio about 1 a.m. and had completed guiding them back down on dark trails two hours later.
