Shares of Utah-based cancer test developer Myriad Genetics rose 4 percent in the wake of reports that actress Angelina Jolie had a double mastectomy after learning she was at high risk for breast cancer. Myriad offers a test aimed at determining a woman's risk of getting hereditary breast or ovarian cancer by looking for defective genes.
Boeing resumes
787 deliveries
Boeing restarted deliveries of 787s on Tuesday after a four-month halt while it dealt with the smoldering batteries that had kept the planes grounded. Boeing handed the plane over to Japan's All Nippon Airways at its factory in Everett, Wash. Airline flights and deliveries were halted in mid-January after two battery incidents.

Google CEO Larry Page has disclosed his left vocal cord has been paralyzed since he came down with a severe cold 14 years ago and that a cold last year impaired his right vocal cord, which makes it difficult for him to speak and breathe. He says he remains fit enough to keep running the company and offered the explanation to address a mystery hanging over him since he lost his voice a year ago.

A planned Windows 8 update to address complaints and confusion with Microsoft's new operating system will be made available for free this year, and will be called Windows 8.1, the company said. When Microsoft announced the fix last week, it made no mention of price and left open the possibility that it would be a larger update, perhaps to Windows 9.

Google reportedly is set to introduce a subscription music feature to compete against fast-growing streaming services such as Spotify . Google is planning to introduce the new service as early as Wednesday at Google I/O, the company's annual conference for software developers. Research In Motion unveiled a lower-cost BlackBerry aimed at consumers in emerging markets, stepping up its efforts to regain market share lost to Apple's iPhone and Android devices powered by Google's software. The Q5 will have a physical keyboard, something that sets RIM's devices apart from Apple's iPhone and most Android phones.

Three Ohio drivers are suing Ford Motor Co., claiming the company's six-cylinder EcoBoost engine is defective. The lawsuit says the 3.5-liter V6 EcoBoost engine can shudder, shake and then rapidly lose power while drivers are accelerating. The lawsuit says more than 100 drivers have complained to regulators.
