smaller loss

Evans & Sutherland Computer Corp. reported lower sales and a smaller loss for the third quarter. The Utah-based computer graphics firm said sales were $5.4 million compared with sales of $6.9 million for the same quarter in 2011. It posted a loss of $1.1 million, or 10 cents per share, compared with a loss of $1.3 million, or 12 cents per share, in the same period a year ago.

Extra Space

stock sale

Extra Space Storage Inc., a Salt Lake-based real estate investment trust, said it has completed its previously announced public offering of 5.9 million shares of its common stock. The company, which specializes in self-storage properties, raised approximately $202.9 million from the offering and will use the proceeds to fund the acquisition of properties and pay down debt.

The New Car Dealers of Utah has made a $1,500 donation to the Utah-based nonprofit organization Circle the Wagons. The donation was made though the association's Good Wheel charitable program. Circle the Wagons provides survivors of violent crime with information and resources to help them recover from the trauma of the experience. It was founded by Vickie Walker, whose husband Jeff was killed during the Trolley Square shooting in 2007.

Bank of Utah

food pantry

Bank of Utah recently presented a $2,000 check and a ton of food to Cache Community Food Pantry. The donations were the result of the "Harvest a Ton of Food Drive" sponsored in conjunction with the recent grand reopening of the bank's newly remodeled branch at 5 E. 1400 North in Logan.
