Marvin Williams went through a pregame shoot around this morning with the Jazz on Monday, and has been medically cleared to play six days after hitting his head on the court in New Orleans.
The Jazz list the starting small forward as a game time decision and Williams said he will meet before the 7 p.m. game with doctors and trainers to determine his status.
He said he will play if "they feel comfortable with me getting back out there."
Meanwhile, third-year forward Derrick Favors is undergoing further evaluation on his right foot after a Sunday MRI was inconclusive. Favors has suffered effects of plantar fasciitis in his right foot since Nov. 19 against Houston. He played just 9 minutes Friday at Oklahoma City and remained in street clothes for Saturday's loss against the Rockets at Toyota Center.
The Jazz have been cautious with both players, but especially Williams. Under the NBA's concussion policy, which went into effect last December, players must pass a series of tests before returning to action.
"When I first did it," Williams said, "I probably had a solid headache for two straight days. Then it kind of lightened up a little bit. Sometimes it kind of comes and goes. Tonight I'll get evaluated again and if I don't have one I'll play."
