Walk MS 2014 • This annual event benefits the National MS Society Utah-Southern Idaho Chapter to help researchers find a cure for and support local programs and services for Utahns affected by multiple sclerosis. When: 10 a.m. Saturday (check-in begins 8 a.m.)

Where: The Gateway mall, 90 S. 400 West

Registration: Free, but fundraising is encouraged

Miller Motorsports Park season opener and car show • The park is kicking off its 2014 season with a day of racing, a car show, hot dogs and drinks (while supplies last) and zip line rides, all for free. Information, millermotorsportspark.com/events/season-opener-car-show-april-26.html

Healthy Kids Day • This event offers active play and educational opportunities with activities such as tennis clinics, a bike rodeo, field day events and more. Information, http://www.ymcautah.org/events/healthy-kids-day-2014.

Admission • Adults $11.95, seniors 65 and older $9.95, children ages 3-12 $8.95

Nihon Matsuri (Japan Festival) • Japanese food and treats, tea ceremony and ikebana (flower arranging) exhibits, handicrafts, clothing and gifts plus live entertainment on two stages that will include martial arts, cosplay taiko drummers and koto musicians. Provo Spring Festival • Live bands, local artists and food, activities for children, teens and adults include bubble ball soccer, slack lining, crafts, potato sack races and more. National Go Birding Day • Beginners are welcome at this guided bird walk that will teach participants about our feathered friends. Information, 801-721-9569.

Admission: $10 per vehicle, up to eight people for admission to the park (the bird walk itself is free)
