The BYU women's tennis team opens today's West Coast Conference Tennis Championships as the No. 6 seed against No. 7 Loyola Marymount at 10:30 a.m. (MDT) at the Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego.

The tournament continues through Saturday with the winner going to the NCAA Tournament. at the Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego. Should the Cougars (10-10) win, they will advance to the next round against No. 3 seed Santa Clara on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. (MDT).

Senior Aubrey Paul and freshman Nicolette Tran each earned a team-high 14 singles victories during the regular season. In doubles play, sophomore Morgan Anderson and freshman Mackenna Maddox finished with a 10-5 mark in 2013 at the No. 1 doubles position.
