Women's soccer: Lone Peak's Hannah Hyde commits to Utah

To say Lone Peak High soccer star Hannah Hyde has BYU blue in her bloodlines would be an understatement. Hyde's father, Nathan, was an all-conference baseball player at BYU. Her mother is on the business college faculty at BYU, and both of her grandfathers have had leadership careers at BYU. Naturally, Hyde recently committed to play soccer for the University of Utah. She will sign a national letter of intent with coach Rich Manning's program in February and begin playing for the Utes next fall. Hyde was a Tribune second-team all-state selectee last fall and a first-team all-region pick. She plays center back for the Utah Avalanche U-18 club team. Before moving to Utah in 2011, Hyde played for the Boise-area team FC Nova. She also received offers from Air Force and UNLV.
