Over the next few weeks I'll be posting gear previews from the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market held at the Salt Palace in downtown Salt Lake City Aug. 2-5. The gear, in most cases, is slated to hit store shelves and websites sometime in the Spring of 2013. Outdoor Retailer, which is closed to the public, also holds a Winter Market in Salt Lake City. The posts will be split between the Salt Lake Tribune's Fishing Utah and Hiking Utah blogs as dictated by the type of gear. — Brett
