Tonight, Thursday, is the first night of the Twilight Concert Series. Belle and Sebastian headline, with Blitzen Trapper opening.

Gates open at 5 pm.The series continues every Thursday through September 5. This year, there will be a special Wednesday concert featuring indie-rock band Grizzly Bear and special guest Youth Lagoon. The Wednesday concert will be August 7 and is followed by Erykah Badu on August 8.The shows are at Pioneer Park at 350 West 300 South. There will be three entrance and exit gates located at 300 West 400 South; mid-block on 400 South; and mid-block on 400 West. There are two exit-only gates located at the corner of 400 West 300 South and mid-block on 300 South.Music beings at 7 p.m.Tickets may be purchased day of the show for $5 at the gate, cash only. Tickets are available in advance at 24tix.com and Graywhale locations. Seating is first come, first served and there is no fixed seating. The stage area is standing room only, no chairs or blankets.The Twilight Market offers a wide range of menu choices and non-alcoholic beverages. Water is available for purchase and there are also free water stations throughout the park. No outside liquid is permitted in the park. No coolers, glass, or Camelbaks allowed.

Both beer and wine are available for purchase inside the park at several locations.
