Utah Arts Festival organizers just announced the music headliners for the 2013 Festival, running June 20-23 on Library Square in downtown Salt Lake City.Opening Night kicks off with New Orleans funksters, The Iguanas, and the music and dance of Ghana's African Showboyz who will also be headlining on Friday night.
During the four days of the Utah Art Festival, Art Fans can listen to the jazz of percussionist Dennis Chambers and Grafitti, bluegrass of the SteelDrivers, the Latin rock of Y La Bamba, the blues guitar of Kenny Neal, the roots of music of Shovelman, Jason Isbell, Ryan Innes, Sound Mass, Royal Bliss, and the Portland Cello Project.This year the Utah Arts Festival also partners for the first time with the Gina Bachauer Young Artists International Piano Competition, presenting 2012 gold and silver medallists Leonardo Colfelice and Bolai Cao in performance.The 2013 Utah Arts Festival runs Thursday, June 20 through Sunday, June 23 from noon to 11 p.m. on Library Square, 400 South and 200 East in downtown Salt Lake City.Adult admission is $12 at the gate, $8 in advance. Reduced adult admission is available for opening day at $10 and a $6 lunchtime special from noon - 3 p.m. is available on Thursday and Friday. Seniors 65 and above are $6. Children 12 and under are free.
