Two new events — besides Dave Grohl's performance with the Sound City Players on Jan. 18 — have been announced for the opening weekend at Park City Live (formerly known as Harry O's) at 427 Main St. in Park City for the first weekend of the Sundance Film Festival.

The venue will be "taken over" by the people of Wynn Las Vegas.

Dutch music producer and DJ Afrojack will perform on Sunday, Jan. 20, at 9 p.m., with pre-sale tickets $50 at parkcitylive.net. He is ranked No. 9 on the DJ Mag Top 100 DJ's of 2012

And British electronic music trio Nero will do a DJ set on Thursday, Jan. 17 at 9 p.m. with pre-sale tickets $50 at parkcitylive.net. That event will also serve as the Powder Awards after-party. The Powder awards are awarded by Powder Magazine. A guess that's a skiing mag. I don't ski, which explains my confusion.
