So, a developer wants to reclaim the ghost town of Cisco by turning it into a thriving 740 parcel, walkable town. From ghost town to Our Town. Cisco is a ghost town for good reason. There is nothing out there to support the place, including no water. The developers are relying on an application to reclaim water rights abandoned some years ago, making it a truly sketchy enterprise.
Maybe Cisco is the poster child for all that affordable housing on BLM public lands the Utah delegation says would be a magical fix if only BLM would give up federal control to Utah. Sketchy land and no water. Hmmm. What could go wrong?
