We are not voting for a candidate this term. We are voting for democracy. We are voting for the principles that nearly 80% of Americans say we support, but 45% of us vote against.
Why? Because we vote for the candidate. This has to stop.
In all races, vote for the party that will not destroy our democracy. Vote for the party that will not destroy public education. Vote for the party that doesn’t actively legislate to harm women and children. Vote for the party that will not push past the SCOTUS ruling that makes a president a king, but rather will fight to negate that ruling.
We are as close as we’ve ever been to joining all the other countries who have lost their democracies. It never comes back the same, if ever. Project 2025 will flourish under a Republican presidency. And that will be the end of us. And I’m mad as hell about it. We should all be mad as hell about it. And we can stop it.
So, let’s stop it.
I’m imploring all Democratic candidates to stop apologizing for being the good guys. Don’t talk about yourself, talk about the democratic principles of being the party for keeping Americans healthy, educated, and living in a clean world. It’s the only way to get the citizens in Utah to vote for democracy.
