Letter: What about the environmental impact of an inland port?

(Francisco Kjolseth | The Salt Lake Tribune) Aerial photos of various Salt Lake points of interest including the proposed inland port area. Salt Lake Tribune, downtown, capitol, North Salt Lake.

Facing summer wildfires and winter inversions for the foreseeable future, the Utah State Legislature and Salt Lake City Council promote a so-called inland port that will draw pollution from thousands of additional trucks, planes and trains to the Salt Lake Valley.

They do this without so much as an environmental impact study. Such lack of foresight is monumentally irresponsible.
