I felt I must comment on your article complaining about senior citizens being able to buy a $10 lifetime pass to our national parks. I don't understand why this is considered unfair. Senior citizens are on fixed incomes. They have worked hard raising families, paying taxes, fighting wars to keep us free, and I don't think you'll find too many senior citizens disrespecting our beautiful parks by writing graffiti on the canyon walls, hiking off-trail or harassing wildlife.

I think a good idea would be to charge the hoards of foreign visitors double the fee for entry into our national parks. It's great that they love our national parks, but as they account for very heavy use of our resources, I think they should pay more. You would be surprised how many sneak into the national parks after the fee gates have closed and jump on the shuttles and make use of our parks without paying a cent.
