Never thought I'd ever say, "Hurray, Jennifer Rubin," but here goes, "Hurray, Jennifer Rubin," for writing, "Clinton could win some thoughtful Republicans," Tribune, May 27.

Real estate salesman Donald Trump's rude, crude and ignorant demeanor is not only set to destroy the United States but, as the world's leading democracy, we will drag the world down with us.

Rubin suggests that Hillary Clinton should reach out to "thoughtful Republicans" and give them a place to go when they have been blown away and "hijacked by a policy ignoramus who is also a xenophobe, nativist, protectionist and isolationist."

Rubin, a Washington Post conservative, lays out six suggestions to Hillary Clinton, one being that she reach out to moderate adversaries with respect and with mutual goals. Yes, a meeting of minds and goals must join forces to reach beyond sullying the presidency of our great nation.
