I was deeply offended by Sen. Orrin Hatch's response to the Salt Lake Tribune's recent editorial concerning Garland's nomination for Supreme Court ("Editorial distorts," April 28).

If the good senator thinks the confirmation process is complicated, perhaps he should resign. It is he who distorts the process that every high school graduate can understand. He portrays two sides when there is only one, and it is in the Constitution.
