Members of the "Wile E. Coyote" coalition (aka Republican state and federal lawmakers) are up to their scheming, cartoonish sub-plots yet again.

Absolutely no Supreme Court nomination hearing, but Mikey and Orrin want another court vacancy filled. A $53 million coal port, despite the top five American coal companies are all on the verge of bankruptcy. Oil has been in near free-fall for over two years, yet the Republicans all want to double down on extractive industries for state and federal land.

Now, they are all afraid of an "Antiquities Act" suppository as a deserved "cure" for the "congressional blockage" of the past seven-plus years.

They should be more afraid of the coming storm, when it starts raining Acme safes.
