In light of recent legislative developments, an idea for an omnibus bill presents itself. Sen. David Hinkins' bill for carrying concealed firearms without a permit might be paired with Sen. Todd Weiler's education bill creating gun safety training for 8th graders. Throw in the previous bill making it legal to shoot feral cats, and we're cooking.

One way of giving real world experience to this holy alliance would be a student field trip to blighted areas in need of feral-cat reduction. If this idea proves to be a dog that don't hunt, then parents can feel confident their middle school children will be better prepared to put up a fight when President Obama comes for their guns.
