Feeling frustrated about your latest parking ticket in Salt Lake City?

This may bring some relief: Mayor Jackie Biskupski announced Thursday that Salt Lake City will begin a one-time courtesy dismissal program aimed at individuals who receive tickets due to errors they made at city parking pay stations. The program begins Friday.

Motorists will receive a one-time dismissal of parking tickets for errors, such as miss-keys, transposition errors, wrong space number or dropped digits.

"As the saying goes, 'To err is human,' I'm hoping with this program we can add some forgiveness from City Hall," the mayor said.

Drivers can appeal in person or via email at parking@slcgov.com., but must provide the receipt from the parking pay station or the credit card used for payment. To appeal in person, go to Room 145 in City Hall, 451 S. State St., from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
