The South Carolina woman who died after riding a zip line at Sundance Mountain Resort last week suffered fatal injuries from blunt force trauma, a news release from the Utah County sheriff's office says.

The injuries 55-year-old Lisa Lambe suffered while on the zip line were "mostly on her right side," though she also suffered "lots of internal injuries," said Sgt. Spencer Cannon.

Lambe, from Hilton Head, S.C., was riding with her husband Friday on a separate line, but she did not reach the bottom.

She was found suspended in her harness by zip line operators and was brought to the ground for treatment. When authorities arrived, she was unconscious and not breathing.

Paramedics performed CPR on Lambe and then took her to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.

Detectives with the sheriff's office were investigating Monday night exactly what caused the trauma. Cannon said they have a lead on what they believe caused the fatal injuries, but they want to be sure before releasing the information.
