A chance of rain and thunderstorms persists into Memorial Day, and into the work week for northern Utah.

Salt Lake City is expected to be mostly cloudy Monday, with isolated showers and thunderstorms. On Tuesday, a chance of rain and thunderstorms returns after 3 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.

Salt Lake City can expect a high near 70 both Monday and Tuesday.

St. George, meanwhile, can expect mostly sunny skies both days, and highs of 81 and 85, respectively.

The air quality has taken a dip, though. Salt Lake, Utah, Davis, Weber, Uintah and Duchesne counties all have only moderate air quality Monday and Tuesday, according to the Utah Division of Air Quality.
