Car crashes into fire engine

Three people were injured, the Salt Lake City Fire Department says.

A car crashed into a fire engine Monday afternoon, the Salt Lake City Fire Department tweeted.

The fire engine was parked on the apron at the fire station near 900 West and 800 South when the car crashed into it, according to FOX 13. Images posted with the tweet showed a car pinned under the front bumper of the fire engine.

The fire department reported that two firefighters were taken to a hospital with minor injuries, and the driver of the car was taken to a hospital by family members.
