An alcohol-related accident partially shut down Interstate 84 in Weber County on Wednesday — although nobody was drinking.
A semi carrying cases of Bud Light rolled over, dumping beer cans along the side of the highway. According to the Weber Fire District, Mountain Green’s Engine 131 arrived on the scene to find the truck on its side and hundreds of cases of beer on the shoulder.
The driver was unhurt and managed to pull himself out of the truck before emergency crews arrived. Firefighters controlled the leaking oil from the vehicle during the cleanup, which lasted until after 7 p.m. before the road was fully reopened.
There’s no word on what became of all the beer.
