Musicians of the Utah Symphony will present their second MOTUS After Dark concert of the season tonight at The Red Door. All musicians are donating their services; proceeds from the cover charge and a portion of each sale will go to The Road Home.

"I think we all realize that our careers are predicated on the generosity of others," said Utah Symphony violinist David Porter, the force behind MOTUS After Dark. "I think there is also a realization that great art cannot be appreciated by people struggling just to survive —wondering where they will spend the next night, or how they are going to overcome an addiction, or simply when their next meal will come. … The Road Home provides these services to those with nowhere else to go, and we wish to support their efforts in whatever way we can."

Colleagues joining Porter to perform music of Beethoven, Britten, Bach, Paganini and Handel are oboist Titus Underwood, clarinetist Erin Svoboda, violists Elizabeth Beilman and Whittney Thomas, cellist Walter Haman, and violinists Jerry Chiu, Hugh Palmer and Julie Wunderle.
