Police say an iPhone, stolen along with a Salt Lake City man's car, led them to a parking lot arrest — and a bonus seizure of methamphetamine and heroin.

According to a Salt Lake City police incident log, on Sunday morning the owner of the car used a tracking app connected to his smart phone to pinpoint his vehicle at 517 S. 1100 East. He notified police, who arrived to find the 40-year-old suspect in the process of taking property from the car.

Officers also found an unspecified number, other than "multiple" packets of methamphetamine and heroin in the suspect's possession.

He was booked into jail on suspicion of possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of illegal drugs with intent to distribute, and possession of burglary tools.
