Washington Terrace • Sheriff's deputies here found a woman's body early Saturday and arrested a husband and wife.

Detectives from the Weber County Sheriff's Office believe the 32-year-old woman died in a homicide. Her name was not disclosed Saturday.

Lyle R. London, 38, was booked into the Weber County jail on suspicion of aggravated murder as well as obstruction of justice, desecration of a body and both possession and use of someone else's credit or debit cards. He's suspected of using some of the woman's cards, said Weber County Sheriff's Lt. Lane Findlay.

Detectives also booked London's wife, Shuree London, 35, on suspicion of obstruction of justice. The Londons' bail was not immediately available.

"My understanding is that both of them have been fairly cooperative in this investigation," Findlay said at an evening press conference at Washington Terrace's city hall.

The sheriff's office released few details of the case. Findlay said deputies responded about 11 p.m. Friday to a hit and run accident near 30th Street and Harrison Boulevard in Ogden. The victim's car was one of the vehicles involved, Findlay said.

About an hour later, deputies went to the woman's residence at Woodland Cove Apartments, 374 E. Ridgeline Drive in Washington Terrace. There they found her body, Findlay said, and saw that she had suffered trauma.

Findlay said it's not clear how long she was dead. An autopsy is planned. Family last talked to the woman a few days ago, Findlay said.

The lieutenant indicated Lyle London was driving the woman's car during the traffic accident, though he was not apprehended at that scene. It was not clear Saturday how detectives located the Londons, except that Lyle London was arrested at an Ogden home.

"There were many, many tireless hours spent by many investigators in this case," said Weber County Sheriff Terry Thompson.

Findlay said Lyle London and the victim had some kind of association. Shuree London, detectives believe, had some knowledge of the crime.

The woman had children, Finlday said, though they were not in the apartment when deputies arrived.

Thompson extended his condolences to the victim's family, saying that "our hearts, our thoughts, our prayers go out to them."
