Two more people are under arrest in connection with a Cedar City murder.

On Oct. 21, police say Angelo Seth Carrasco forced his way into a home and shot and killed Shawn Multine with a rifle. Carrasco fled the home in the 100 East block of 525 North, but the 34-year-old was later arrested and charged last week with aggravated murder.

As police continued to investigate Multine's death, they arrested a woman and man for allegedly helping Carrasco, according to a news release. Clarissa Bulletts, Multine's 18-year-old step-daughter and Carrasco's ex-girlfriend, was booked into Iron County Jail on Thursday under suspicion of murder and obstruction of justice. Eric Rodriguez, 29, was also booked into the jail under suspicion of the same charges, as well as aggravated burglary.

"Investigators found that Bulletts drove Carrasco and Rodriguez to the neighborhood where the murder took place," the release reads. "Carrasco and Rodriguez went to a home where Multine was believed to be. Rodriguez entered the home and tried to locate Multine to lure him outside where Carrasco was allegedly awaiting to shoot him with a high powered rifle."

When that didn't work, Bullets allegedly called Multine and tried to lure him somewhere else, where Rodriguez and Carrasco were allegedly waiting for him. This also failed, according to the news release.

"Carrasco and Rodriguez went to another home in the area. Rodriguez stood near the driveway of the home and attempted to yell to Multine and get him to exit the residence where Carrasco was again waiting to shoot him," the release reads. "When Multine did not come out of the home, Carrasco entered the home and shot Multine."

Witnesses had told police that Carrasco had gotten into an argument with the 45-year-old victim, that culminated in Carrasco shooting him.

After the shooting, Rodriguez and Carrasco fled the scene, according to police. Rodriguez allegedly helped dispose of the rifle, and Bulletts "transported Carrasco and Rodriguez out of the area," according to the release.

About 30 minutes after someone called 911 about the shooting, "telephone contact was made with an adult female who was with Carrasco. She advised officers that they were at the KB Express convenience store at 734 S. Main in Cedar City," said Cedar City police Sgt. Jimmy Roden. Officers found Carrasco at the store, where he "admitted to investigators that he had committed the murder," Roden said.

Police interviewed Bulletts and Rodriguez in the days following Multine's murder, and they both "provided testimony that hindered or delayed the investigation," the release adds.

The motive for the murder is still under investigation.

Besides the murder charge, Carrasco was also charged with aggravated burglary, a first-degree felony punishable by up to life in prison, and aggravated assault, which carries a five-year maximum prison sentence.
