A Brigham Young University student was hit by a car and killed while she was walking across a street Monday in Provo. The 24-year-old woman was walking in a crosswalk at 1820 N. University Ave. around 5 p.m. Several vehicles stopped to let her cross, but a northbound vehicle driven by a 52-year-old Park City man did not. The woman died at Utah Valley Hospital. Police are not identifying her, pending family notification. -Erin Alberty
