Delta Air Lines will launch a nonstop route to Pittsburgh from Salt Lake City next year, continuing the airline's rapid expansion of its hub at Salt Lake City International Airport. Beginning March 1, Delta will start flying to Pittsburgh once a day. Flights will leave at 10 a.m. and return at 7:47 p.m.
The flights will be operated by SkyWest Airlines, using 70-seat Bombardier jets. SkyWest, based in St. George, serves as a feeder airline for Delta, operating as Delta Connection out of Salt Lake.
Last week, Delta said it would begin flying to Charlotte, N.C., beginning March 1. By adding Pittsburgh and Charlotte, Delta will serve 111 destinations from Salt Lake.
