GRADES Offense - F
Four interceptions and 51 passing yards from Brett Ratliff and Tommy Grady, and just 127 rushing yards from Daryl Poston, Brent Casteel and Mike Liti? There'd be a quarterback controversy, if Grady could have done anything in his brief audition.
Defense - D- Eric Weddle intercepts two more passes, but the Broncos run through huge holes and the Utes got little or no pressure on Jared Zabransky.
The Broncos roll up 398 yards of total offense, invoking visions of UCLA in the season opener.
Special Teams - B
Louie Sakoda averages 44.9 yards on seven punts. The highlight is a 46-yarder that pins BSU inside its own 1. Oh, and Sakoda makes a 37-yard field goal.
PLAYER OF THE GAME
Korey Hall BOISE STATE LINEBACKER The senior intercepts two passes, returns them for a total of 61 yards and leads the team with eight tackles. Honorable mention goes to teammate Colt Brooks, a linebacker who returns his interception 12 yards for a touchdown.
Play of the game Brooks' interception return with 3:39 remaining in the first half is like a left to the gut of the Utes, who trail 23-3 at halftime and never recover.
