Uh-oh.
That may be what went through the minds of other Class 3-A teams when they saw Logan's box score from Friday night. The Grizzlies' offense was back in top form in a 42-21 win over Grantsville.
Logan, the reigning Class 3-A champion, is getting healthy and dangerous.
Quarterback Chaz Housley played his first full game since the opener. He had surgery to repair a torn meniscus and missed three full games. He didn't miss a beat against the Cowboys, however, as he threw for 268 yards and four touchdowns.
All-state specialist Josh Flores had the best game of his high school career, as he racked up 355 all-purpose yards. He scored three times, once each on a run, catch and punt return.
The Grizzlies' roster was decimated by injuries earlier in the season. In addition to Housley, players such as receiver Wes Hyde (broken finger) and center Justin Bodily (MCL) have missed time because of injuries.
Hawks, Broncos stingy
The defenses at Alta and San Juan are playing lights-out.
Both teams have recorded three consecutive shutouts. The Hawks could have had four straight, but their junior varsity defense allowed a late touchdown in their 33-8 win over West Jordan back in Week 3.
The Broncos have been equally impressive. They have blanked three straight opponents, including a Class 3-A team. The only score they have allowed in their last four games came in the fourth quarter in Week 3 when their game was already decided.
San Juan is the stingiest team in the state, as it has allowed just 32 points in six games.
