The Eagles are coming to Salt Lake City on May 3

Classic rock band the Eagles have added four more “An Evening with the Eagles” concerts to their scheduled tour, including a May 3 stop at Salt Lake City’s Vivint Smart Home Arena.

Tickets go on sale Friday, Jan. 12, at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster. American Express card members will be given presale access between 10 a.m. Jan. 9 and 10 p.m. Jan. 11. Other presale opportunities will be made available Jan. 11 at 10 a.m. Visit Eagles.com for more ticket information.

The group’s lineup now consists of longtime members Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit, plus Vince Gill and Deacon Frey.

The Eagles’ tour is currently slated to start March 12 in Indianapolis and wrap Sept. 8 in Phoenix. The other new shows added include May 5 in Portland, May 8 in Spokane, Wash., and the tour-closing Phoenix show.

The Eagles are one of the most successful American rock bands ever, having sold more than 120 million albums, including six No. 1 albums and five No. 1 singles. They have won six Grammy Awards and were elected to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998. The group, widely credited with creating the “California country sound,” also received Kennedy Center honors in 2016.

They are best known for such songs as “Hotel California,” “Take It Easy,” “Desperado,” “Peaceful Easy Feeling” and “Take It to the Limit.”
